5 women have been allegedly killed by male violence this week in Australia. Yet when I look to our major mastheads there is no coverage. Women’s safety matters. Women’s lives matter. We need attention on this national crisis, political commitment & ⬆️ funding. We need it now #VAW.

This is a national crisis. 19 women have been killed by male violence since the beginning of 2022. More than one a week. As the Federal Election approaches each party must make it clear what they will do to improve the safety of women & children in Australia #VAW #ausvotes.
❤️RIP ANGEL - 80th AUSTRALIAN KILLED IN 2022!❤️. A woman has been bashed to death in Croydon North, Vic. Her male partner is in custody. The unnamed victim is the 19th Australian woman killed this year. 18 children and 43 men have also been killed since January 1, 2022.

At #WomensSafetySummit PM said he comes 'with an open mind'. Women & children need the Gov to come with ACTION. Action to prioritise women's safety. Action to truly fund whole of system responses. Action to implement ALL Respect@Work recommendations. An open mind is not enough.

11 women in Australia killed in the first 9 weeks of 2023. Violence against women is a national crisis. We need increased action, we need increased commitment to funding prevention. Women’s lives & safety matter. If not now, when? How many women must be killed? #VAW #Auspol.

At risk of being further branded ‘a hater’ - this response to recent criticisms following the Commissioner’s press conference yesterday, during which she described this double killing as a ‘crime of passion’, lacks insight. Language matters, particularly that used by those in.
