As a former fitness professional that worked a lot with kids - this is an ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE idea. Shame makes people fatter. BMI doesn’t adequately measure the size of a child. And people that are genuinely overweight ALREADY KNOW. Pointing it out doesn’t help.

My daughter is a 26 weeker. I was in the NICU with her for nearly 5 months and in that time I saw countless babies born with conditions incompatible with life, suffer for hours, their parents an absolute wreck. This bill is utterly heartless and completely tone deaf.

This was literally my daughter and the comparison sickens me. I stayed on bed rest for a month waiting for her to be born too early to survive. She only just made it and was in hospital nearly 6 months.
