There is an elevated risk of severe weather this evening and then again tomorrow night across the region. Now is the time to develop a plan (if you don't have one already) in the event that severe weather threatens your area.
3 concerns at the time.
1. Ongoing severe storms w/ rotation across far NW MO.
2. Showers & t-storms along the I-70 corridor w/ the potential for strong winds behind (remember Thu).
3. More strong to severe storms possible later this evening. Storms expected in the next ~1-2 hrs.
Thunderstorms are beginning to move into the Tri-State Area this afternoon. Storm coverage will increase as the afternoon progresses.

3:45 PM Update: Shield of stratiform rain/non-severe thunder moving through the area could limit overall severe storms later this afternoon and evening(with exception of far eastern KS in yellow area). Isolated wind gusts to 60 mph are possible for the next 1-2 hrs.
