Blocking in Tekken 8 feels like Tag 2 a little to me, you can't afford to let go of block for a split second when doing something like a backdash or sidestep or you risk getting clipped by something. Tekken 7 definitely felt more lenient when it came to blocking overall IMO

Funny how people think Yoshi going back to T7 Flash hitbox and losing his Heat relaunch oki from ff2:2 is crippling. It's not. He's still capable of doing disgusting oki from a variety of situations. Plus the other NSS buffs he got in this game make him stupidly strong still.

It's honestly sad people are ripping into him because they firmly believe he won't replicate his T7 success without Akuma. SA can play Tekken well without him. And even if they end up being correct, who cares? Leave the guy alone because this is just sad behaviour.

It's funny how with these buffs, more and more people are inclined to pick up Yoshi. He's not the bandwagon character you seem to think he is. By all means discover his toolset for yourselves, but you'll quickly realize why most people don't care to use him, because he's effort.

My heart is pounding, I managed to reach Top 8 on the losers side after two insane comebacks against JoKa! I didn't want my Top 8 qualification to be vs a fellow UK killer but that's what I get for not performing in the winners side, I will do my best to keep going!

I've noticed with T8 there are different Heat Mode "archetypes" between the characters:
1. Enhances the properties of moves (e.g. Law, Paul, Nina)
2. Gives new moves, while also enhancing others (e.g. Lars, Feng)

T7 hitting 9 mil sales makes it the best selling game in the series I'm sure. While it's cool they made up for how little TTT2 sold, I hope 7 isn't the standard for future games. Keep the great gameplay for 8, but do more with the content, because 7 doesn't have much else to it.

Not the first nerfs I was expecting, but essentially NSS/heat flash can't be spammed in combos anymore and the healing it gives will be less effective, nerfed 1SS flash hitbox could potentially affect certain flash punishment, and I guess heat f1+2 relaunch after ff2:2 is gone.

Actually, this is the natural effect 1,1 has on NH if he's in NSS. Any moves that draw the sword back out are enhanced, much like they are in Heat. 1,1 does still KND on CH 2nd hit in 1SS however.

The more I lab, more I think Yoshi is absolutely busted. His poke game is mostly the same as before, but the NSS buffs he has been given with added healing make him freakishly strong in oki and pressure situations. Not to mention his new strings complimenting his wall carry 😈

Sadly went 0-2 in my group after some really good sets, I had some good moments during both matches but there were also very glaring mistakes that cost me too much, as well as some unfortunate situations occurring during my offense. Something to reflect on, GGs!

I think the most amusing thing about Season 2 is seeing how many players will ditch their current mains for characters that have been beefed up, as that is how meta is these days. Sure all my characters got buffed mostly, but regardless I'd stick with them to the end.

Yeah, based on what I'm seeing everywhere, this patch has basically put the game in a heap of trouble. Issues with certain moves and situations got danced around instead of properly solved, while introducing new unintentional bugs that break the game. The tour is in 11 days...
