@petergyang There is no reliable way to detect AI-generated content, but the fact that these companies are ruining the lives of students and professionals by labeling content as AI-generated should be illegal. It will, however, at the very least be the source of lawsuits. Hope they're ready!

@unusual_whales The employee publicly challenged his boss in a rude and dismissive way, without providing factual answers to the CEO's questions. I know that many people are unaccustomed to this sort of accountability, but publicly trying to humiliate your boss is a cancer for any company.

@kendallhosseini I also cannot imagine a fate more soul-rending than Shiv’s. That precipitous surrender to Tom at the end, dropping her hand emotionlessly into his, was the ultimate expression of her own spirit’s demise. Her future is over: she is ruled by the decisions of others over her life.

@_einzbern Hi! 👋 I ran a "big board" (specifically, an online niche forum community for writers, artists, and musicians of an original fantasy world) with millions of posts and over 80,000 members. Our peak was ~2007. So, while @Discord is a modern murderer of (mostly) gaming forums, it is

@PaulReynolds69 @kronstadtgracie @kendallhosseini 100%. You are so right. Mattson played all of them like a fiddle, but let's be clear: he would have lost if the three Roy siblings had stuck together. That it was Shiv who demonstrated that their hatred of one another was the only legacy their father left, was stunning.

@Carnage4Life Tech C-Level Executive here. Yes. It's this bad. And worse. I've been on both ends of layoffs, and this past round is the worst I have seen in my entire career. But the good news is: this is largely tech-specific, and the rest of the non-tech sector is doing really well.

@NZXT No question that Baldur's Gate 3 will win Game of the Year. It has substantially reset the entire Games-as-a-Service model by reminding everyone what a great, feature-complete game looks like without the micro-transaction and DLC hellscape. Well done, Larian!

@kronstadtgracie @kendallhosseini That's not her fate, though. It is clear to me in the final scene, where Tom holds out his hand and she surrenders to him, that she will follow him, the "man who put the baby inside her," as Mattson proudly declares Tom superior ever after Shiv calls him "interchangeable." Sad.

@TheJackForge @realDan203 This is the absolute truth. As someone who used to work at the marketing IT consultancy that helped Dominos conceive of the idea over 15 years ago, I can tell you it’s a glorified GIF. It does not reflect reality. And got the idea from the 1995 Sandra Bullock movie “The Net.”

@Grummz I see nothing wrong with a Black Samurai as an option in a suite of characters that would include culturally-appropriate Japanese Samurai. But the revisionism and back-peddling really tells you that they didn't have a vision about how this Assassin's Creed was going to deviate.
