While the data the last few days has been consistent in showing a potent winter system moving near the area for early next week, slight shifts in the track are being noted with a southern shift this morning. It's something to keep an eye on, but nothing is set in stone.

If you just saw lights in the sky lined up in a row in two different groups what you saw is SpaceX's Starlink satellites. They just made a pass over eastern Iowa shortly after 9 PM!

Eastern Iowa and much of the Midwest has a 70-80% chance of being above normal for temps the week leading up to Christmas. Normal highs are in the low 30s. That also means that a White Christmas (inch of snow on ground or more) is looking unlikely. -Danny
