At T+6 seconds, there is not a single person in this world who expected to hear "Our next objective is Max Q" 30 seconds later.
If I'm ever out that way, I'm buying the
@Astra
GNC team a round. LV0006 maintaining control in that situation was nothing short of impressive.🍻
Here's one for the students this morning:
School busses are big, right? The *rear flaps* of Starship are bigger than a school bus.
What a field trip. We went to see old dinosaur bones.
Soon, the fledgling starship must leave the nest and begin its hunt for sustenance. It conceals itself in foliage, slowly creeping towards an unsuspecting herd of methalox at a nearby watering hole.

The real question is, how did they get the star up there? More found footage from Boca Chica.

Who here ACTUALLY understood the level of activity at SpaceX's McGregor engine test facility? 2 tests a month? 1 a week?
They capped off an astounding 7 tests TODAY with a beauty. Train ain't stopping til there's boots on Mars.

The Starship catch/stack arm system "Chopsticks" came alive for the first time this morning, swinging to the left relative to the tower around 6:37 AM CDT.
This is the first of many motions we expect to see performed by the massive machinery.

This is perhaps the BEST illustration of how atmosphere affects clarity.
As the station passes overhead you have less atmosphere in the way. It gets so clear you can see Dragon parked out front.

Starbase Fans: A grass fire on Boca Chica Beach damaged equipment at one of our camera locations today.
We've been in contact with the local fire department to learn more and provide information that may be of assistance.
It's awesome that Starship launched again.
... but it's even more important that so many people were excited about it.
We need interest, enthusiasm, and support for these endeavors... At ALL levels... from the kids watching to the politicians wrangling laws and dollars.
From the entire SpaceX team, thank you to our customers, Cameron County, spaceflight fans, and the wider community for the continued support and encouragement.
Remember, if you begin deploying the

port mid-boom at exactly 9:20 AM EST on Dec 31st, the full sunshield will fold into place at exactly midnight to ring in the new year.

To be clear, these are corrective actions identified and recommended by SpaceX during the SpaceX-led mishap investigation following Starship Flight 1.
SpaceX has been working on this list for almost 5 months.
Congrats to SpaceX for completing & documented the 57 items required by the FAA for Flight 2 of Starship!
Worth noting that 6 of the 63 items refer to later flights.
SN10 tried to be sneaky, but the robot camera is very patient. Hard to hide 50m of stainless steel rollin' down the road.
Yall thought I forgot... didn't you? 😅
OK, Twitter vs YouTube Short. Same (basic) video, uploaded two places. This is the, uh... "fast" version of the RTLS video... 😅

Webb's sunshield was secured for flight with 107 individual pins, called 'non explosive actuators' which were designed to keep all 5 layers of the sunshield tidy for launch. With the completion of this deployment, all of them have now been successfully released.

At first glance you might say "Wait, where's the engine?"
Shouldn't there be a rocket engine nozzle sticking out the bottom and wiggling around?
THAT is why this is so cool. 👍
It's a convoy, not the one we wanted to see under 20 hours to launch.
LR11000 is rising. This feels like a destack is coming.
Loadspreader and crane are related to the Hot Staging Ring, so Ship 25 has to come off first.

Here's the exact unit Michael was using for this specific track... a regular dome-up 25x PTZ with a custom control box and uplink.
Yeah, that's a closet rod used as an antenna mast. And some plumbing bits.
OK, shoutout to the Port Canaveral security boat that literally body-blocked the folks who thought they were going to squeeze between the cruise ship and the dock.
Really? Did you not... SEE... the cruise ship?
