This can be proven by KPI. Arizona State’s wins at Kansas (1.01) and vs Xavier (.95) are the best and 5th best non-conference wins of the season and combine to form the best pair of non-conference wins by any one team.

Loyola-Chicago was No. 41 in KPI on Selection Sunday.
The expected scores by KPI math entering the tournament were a 71-67 Loyola win over Miami-FL and a 69-68 win over Tennessee.
As one of the six metrics now on the team sheets, I hesitate to share, but FWIW, between NCAAT & NIT, KPI matched on 98/100 teams (67/68 NCAA, 29/32 NIT).
KPI had Florida State & USC swapped for NCAAT.
KPI had Georgia & South Carolina instead of Boston College & BYU in the NIT.
For perspective, the top road wins on the season:
1.07 Syracuse at Ohio State
1.02 Lipscomb at TCU
1.01 Michigan at Villanova
1.01 Ohio State at Cincinnati
.95 Wisconsin at Iowa

Completely random, but nonetheless interesting college basketball nugget.
@KPIsports
currently lists the Texas Tech, Arizona St. and Oklahoma St. wins at Kansas as the three best wins in college basketball this season.
There are zero remaining undefeated teams in D-I MBB (I *think* this is the earliest the last undefeated has ever lost).
There are 14 teams remaining with only one loss.
DePaul’s managers come up just short of the all-time record for points in a single
@ManagerGames_
contest. Georgia Tech’s managers scored 134 points vs. Notre Dame on Feb. 19, 2016.
Yes. We have a
@ManagerGames_
record book. Don’t judge us!
Three MBB teams who were the
@AP_Top25
preseason No. 1 fell from the top spot in the next poll without losing:
1977-78 UNC (replaced by Kentucky)
1980-81 Kentucky (replaced by DePaul)
1983-84 UNC (replaced by Kentucky)
Does anybody know if a preseason No. 1 team in the AP poll has ever dropped without losing?
Researching this morning but can’t find a definitive answer. I’m asking because, I think, it might happen to Kansas tomorrow.
