I was more offended that the @nyulangone Super Bowl ad suggested that their cancer doctors can’t even complete a simple pass play against air. That slander would never fly in Big10 or SEC country.

They change the genus name of bacteria from time to time—Campylobacter->Helicobacter. Clostridium-> Clostrioides—-simply to ridicule and marginalize us olds. I still say “West Germany” sometimes, so I am not particularly bothered.

There have now been 59 Super Bowls and my old college backfield mate and roommate Timmy Smith still holds the record with 204 rushing yards in XXII. With the way the game has changed, the record might last forever.
