Beryl is now a Tropical Storm, but the risks are far from over. Additional rounds of rainfall will continue through the afternoon as well as potentially damaging wind gusts, a Tornado Watch has also been issued for areas along and east of I-45.

Thursday Evening PinPoint Forecast: Another day of blistering, unprecedented heat Friday...but the day ends & the weekend begins with a chance at rain!
Tropical moisture is pulling into the Brazos Valley as Tropical Storm Beryl is getting closer to the coast. We can expect some preliminary showers and rumbles through the afternoon before Beryl makes landfall, which will bring more rain, wind, and flooding concerns past midnight.
Huntsville has already broken the rainfall record for May 2nd and it's not even 6am. So far today 5.94" of rain has fallen, the previous record was 4.15" set back in 1922.
A Flash Flood Warning remains in place through 6:30am, will likely be extended.

Fall arrives tomorrow, y'all. The cold front should bring rain into the Brazos Valley Sunday night, and drop high temperatures into the low 70s for the first half of the work week.
Tuesday Afternoon First Alert Forecast
Potential Tropical Cyclone One looks to be taking a more westward track, making landfall south of the state of Texas. For that reason, rainfall accumulations are trending lower than originally anticipated for the Brazos Valley on Wednesday.
Wednesday Afternoon PinPoint Forecast: Making some last minute runs to the grocery store today? The weather shouldn't slow you down any! Still watching for a very spotty shower for some on your Thanksgiving, with cooler temperatures sticking around through the weekend.

According to the National Hurricane Center, a tropical depression is likely to form from a tropical wave in the southern Gulf Sunday or Monday.
Still a lot of details to finetune on this system, but heavy rain is expected locally by Monday. Latest:

A tropical wave is expected to interact with some open ocean thunderstorms and could become a depression or stronger by the middle of next week, but no Texas impacts are expected right now.
Wednesday Night PinPoint Forecast: NEW data in tonight suggests two things:
1) the afternoon can allow a higher coverage of storms (few severe) Thursday
2) A strong/severe line of storms is still expected 10pm Thursday - 3am Friday

After a week long of sweaty, muggy conditions, we will finally put that moisture to work in the form of a rain chance throughout the weekend. We're also monitoring the risk for severe weather both Friday and Sunday, where we may see damaging winds and up to quarter size hail.
