@shanmeltzer I feel the same. A new PI with so many hopes and dreams.....all uncertainty now and honestly without academia, industry will also fall and with no one to buy reagents many more jobs are gone. Why? :(

@AshleyGWinter As someone who just started her lab 1.5 years ago, I'm horrified. I've been working 70 plus hours most weeks of my life sicne I was 20 working in the lab. Sacrificed so much for discovery. But many people comment that it's a good thing and that they hate scientists. I'm not ok

@LindaCPhD I honestly don't know. So sad. Academia supports all others too. If all our jobs are gone, who trains people for industry? Who buys reagents for research ? Everything will crumble.
