If God exists, theism is expected. (Given that God wants to be known) If God does not exists, atheism isnt expected. (Sentient life capable of atheism isnt likely) The mere fact that people hold theistic beliefs is, to some degree, evidence that theism is correct.

If all appeals to authority were fallacious then you can literally never point to a textbook again for science, politics, math, logic, history etc because that textbook is a form of authority. Please don't throw around ''fallacy this, fallacy that'' when you don't like a thing.
