A Garda, young enough to be my son, kneed me in the groin and threw me to the ground, in order to facilitate meter installation outside my home. Surprisingly, the installers retreated out of disgust. Still no meter outside my house.
Reminder that a few years ago, grannies were getting arrested at their gates for peacefully protesting against water meters. Peaceful water protesters were not allowed to set foot in Kildare St. Kildare St looked like this.

My daughter sat on the floor at the pound and started to cry because the dogs looked so pathetic. One little Whippet came to her and licked her tears away. 5 years later, she's the light of our lives.
