? Why do you have $$$ to give to private schools but are withholding funds to pay public school teachers, to support SpecEd or CTE programs, or to adjust for inflation?

If TX state legislature really wanted to respect parents, they would get rid of expensive/wasteful/bureaucracy of STAAR. If no STAAR req’d for proposed voucher private schools then why not let public schools use other assessments instead of STAAR too?

This. STAAR Testing is absolutely ridiculous. There are much better measures of academic growth that are also much cheaper! But the politicians are getting rich from the testing companies, so…🤷♂️
