Game 1 of the Celtics-Mavericks NBA Finals averaged 10.99 million viewers on ABC.
It's the least-watched opening game of the NBA Finals outside of the COVID seasons (2020 and 2021) since 2007.

I’m not saying this cost the Celtics the game. I’m not blaming the refs. We lost fair and square. I am saying this is the worst call in the history of sports. (Any sport) and may have altered the outcome
Billy Donovan did not like the Celtics decision to purposefully foul Andre Drummond in the fourth quarter.
Ceded that teams have to chase point differential, but felt that crossed the line.
“I just felt bad for Andre in that situation.”
This is a foul on Jaylen Brown. Seems he can be as physical as he wants all game, without consequence. He can even jump straight into Lively's chest and get calls.
I felt OK about the whistle in live time, but giving JB this much freedom to play football is kind of ridiculous
Jason Kidd on Jaylen Brown, casually lighting Boston sports radio on fire for the next 24 hours: “Jaylen’s their best player. Looking at what he does defensively, he picked up Luka full court, got to the free throw line, did everything, and that’s what your best player does.”
"The best offer I'm told that the Nets had on the table was from the Celtics. Jaylen Brown, Derrick White and a first round pick."

Dallas gonna put Horford in so man ball screen actions to get that switch on Luka next round. If you think Rudy looks wild out there on that island wait til next round
Horford age starting to catch up. Worst -/+. He really doesn’t have much of a game anymore. Can’t post people up. Just sits at 3 point line and chucks 3s
Y’all think it’s time to move on or?
The Celtics would get swept by Denver. Maybe take one game due to a hot shooting night. But they have no chance if it’s the Nuggets in the NBA Finals. Zero.
Jimmy was 5/21, Bam was 4/16, and the Celtics shot 7-35 from 3 as a team and y’all wanna sit here and say the officiating was the reason the Heat lost lmao y’all look so pathetic
NBA Award update:
Jimmy Butler has extended his lead over Jaylen (29 vs 21 points), but Jaylen still has a solid lead over 3rd team guys and is still pacing well for All NBA
Malcolm Brogdon's lead for 6MOY stands at 88-53
Jayson Tatum: Evolving Playmaker 🔥
☘️ increased APG every year in NBA
☘️ career-high 4.9 last season
☘️ playoff career-high 6.3 last season
☘️ Series-leading 7.2 in Finals

Y’all are confidently trusting the same sources that said the Celtics had a huge team argument early in the season when they were really just having a normal team breakfast lmao
Ant’s comparison went from Michael Jordan to Dillon Brooks in less than a week…
Worst FG% over any 3-game span in the Playoffs in the last 3 seasons (>50 FGA):
1. 29.8% (17-57) | Ant Edwards | last 3 gms
2. 30.0% (15-50) | Dillon Brooks | 2022
Nothing better than a bunch of casuals responding to this tweet telling Marcus not to flop. This is textbook defense and he’s also literally a DPOY, you don’t get to tell him how to defend lmao
Zach Lowe on Jaylen Brown:
“I’ve had a couple people in opposing front offices tell me something along the lines of, ‘Are the Celtics really gonna pay their 3rd or 4th or 5th best player all this money?’”
