Everyone who joined us from Chanco in first year to study Medicine struggled to the end. There was something wrong about their background. I suspected they had 15 points and thought they could find medicine easy! They struggled. It was painful to watch.

In 2010, Dr Thom Mpinganjira came to COM to speak to us as Pre-med students. This was our first week in College. I ended up arguing against him. Since we couldn't agree on alot of things I said "in any case billionaires are not created because of lectures such as this one"

Our small town Lilongwe looks alittle bit like Chipata. We therefore are 50 years behind Lusaka. When people joke and compare Malawi and Lusaka, they are just being friendly. Truth is we are behind!

In the 80s, when Malawi had no capacity to train Doctors, Dr. H.Kamuzu Banda sent brilliant students to study Medicine in the UK. We must consider doing the same now for our Engineering Students since we don't have the capacity to train engineers relevant to the 21st Century.
