@goldstone_tony How would leasing at the point of retirement affect WTE salary equivalent for ‘95 purposes for LTFT staff? EG if 50% FTE, does you final salary = (FTE - lease cost); or (LTFT salary - lease cost) x 2? If the latter, the impact of leasing hits LTFT disproportionately.

Outsourcing radiology and pathology really isn’t without risk. Some of the best pathologists I know do outsource work but it’s working with one hand tied behind your back. And even fully costed, it’s cheaper to employ in house!
And although it may have a place, outsourced reporting is not the answer - reporters paid per item, incentivising quick reports, with limited access to patient record and knowledge of local pathways Radiology consultants do more than just report scans
