Why is everything about signposting these days? What happened to just being able to reach out to the person you’re told to reach out to without them just signposting you on? Just makes it sound like you don’t care about the staff/student/colleagues you work with.

Loosing someone prominent in your life right before placement definitely adds to the pressure, I started the block distracted. Attending their funeral that was a mess from start to finish halfway through that block has completely spun me. We don’t look after the dying enough 😔

I will never understand how a c section is not treated in the same manner as any other major abdominal surgery. The expectation that women should be able to care for a newborn, get up and deal with it, with a bit of paracetamol onboard.
