The pet industry needs to go. Even if you purchase from a proper breeder, you are not helping because you (pet lovers) are encouraging illegal breeders as well. Even if you adopt, you are supporting the industry that euthanise unsold puppies by buying pet goods.

You make it sound like they kidnap people and force them to be adopted. Most of the time these “outsiders” are married into the family. Meaning the family prob has a daughter and will look for a husband that is willing to take over the family business.

That’s what happen when your income is used to determine if you are eligible for BTO. A rich parents can buy one for their child when they get married but the child will prob live in one of the private houses that their parents owns. But I guess there isn’t much choice

It’s not about taking revenge. It was just a wake up call on the dependence to Malaysia for 🐔. If they can just ban the export in such a short notice, it can happen again. This is food security and it is necessary. I think Sg will still purchase from Msia but not as much.

The breeders needs to go. Both legal and illegal. Pets should be a luxury with stringent regulations and selection of owners. No animals should be ever sold but only given away if you happen to receive a litter.
