Hmmm...lemme see; I like swords, rpgs, and I complain about politics (who doesn't?). I also have strong opinions about genre literature that I'm happy to share

@empiremagazine Reading comments around the Last Jedi convinces me that there is a substantial portion of the population who enjoys a thing more for how it hurts others than for how it is something they themselves enjoy.

@DelusionPosting Man if these people got treated the way Alex Jones did, Trump could pay off the national debt in civil fines.

@InsaneCope I would never want Destiny banned. He can make all the edgy jokes he wants and we can continue to laugh at him for being cucked by his wife.

@kirawontmiss Except they WERE trying. The diversity decree goes back a lot longer than is usually discussed these days. But they still had enough professionalism to write decent stories.

@sisterinferior A few months back I went through a lot of 300 or so debut authors that Goodreads had collated. Fewer than ten were white and male, and of those, every one I checked was gay.

@empiremagazine Good for him. I wish him well, and hope he takes this kind of attitude to other film projects in the future. It'll save me a hell of a lot of money.

@blacknredtext There is almost no one who has put in the work harder than Keanu Reeves. The guy has legitimate issues with line delivery, but almost no one does nonverbal acting better than he does. He's legitimately developed into a very good actor.

@GreenTextRepost Not sure if I believe this story, but if true, then that person needs to get as far away from all those people as possible.

@KILLTOPARTY Homer's an engineer at a nuclear power plant. he'd be pulling down about 125K in todays money. They live in a midwestern town where a 1600 square foot colonial like that is well within the budget of a family making upper fives or low 6 figures. Not lower middle class.

@benphillips76 That's funny. What's even funnier is Margaret Atwood promoting a comic that says women have been living in Handmaid's world under Biden and Harris.

@lucendacier Assuming 5e (and I have no reason to think this wasn't 5e), there's a "custom lineage" that lets you have all the metagame stat boosts with any race wrapper one wants, so from a powergame perspective, there are options.

@memeticsisyphus Yes. Something that is left out of the game is that Ciri's introduction to lesbianism was rape. She was raped and groomed by a woman, and it was a little disgusting that this is not ever recognized by the game.

She's not a return to femininity because she has curves, or because she wears a low cut dress. She's a return because she's clearly comfortable with male admiration without being angry or arrogant about it.
People are saying that Sydney Sweeney is a return to femininity because she unabashedly shows off her curves and allows men to view her as the woman she is. I can't get behind that. Yes, men are visual creatures. I've said it before and I'll say it again. But there's a

@John_Cyrano At his heart, Eric is a coward. DM gave him a shield because that's who he is. He's the person who hides, protects others, and whines like a prissy little girl. Give him a sword? Why? Give him a break. He's not the hero type.

No, he's not. Dr. Strange has suffered sufficient nerve damage that he's no longer able to perform highly delicate nerve repair operations, but is otherwise able to function without care. This is like claiming wearing reading glasses is "disabled".

When he says "race essentialist" he is referring to elves being skinny and dexterous and dwarves being stocky and tough. "Imaginary creatures have defining characteristics" just didn't give right character assassination vibe though.
All of D&D is explicable once you know that Gary Gygax was both a race essentialist and an insurance actuary.

Probably unpopular #OSR AD&D opinion. Your 1st level hit points should be on top of zero-level hit points. 0 level characters have 1d6 hp, so player characters should begin with 6 hp plus their level one hit die.
