Private Members Bill After many years of lobbying for social value legislation to arrive in Northern Ireland, Social Enterprise NI are delighted to support @stewartcdickson in bringing forward his Private Members Bill. Northern Ireland remains the only part of the UK without social value legislation, and we note that in 2017 the then Finance Minister stated that the Executive would bring forward social value legislation however due to no sitting Assembly and therefore reduced mandates, there has been no progression. Whilst recent Public Procurement Notes (PPN 01/21) require central government contracts to allocate 10% of scoring, there are currently no demands of local government and universities to comply, so this Bill is a potential game changer for how we spend the public purse. #SocialValue #SocialEnterprise

📸 2024 AGM: Photo Gallery 🏙️ Our 2024 AGM was held on Thursday 30th January 2025 at PwC in Belfast, bringing together our team, board members, and key partners to reflect on the past year’s achievements and set our priorities for the year ahead. The event provided an opportunity to celebrate progress across our core programmes, including Greening the City, Healthy Places Healthy Children, and our policy and advocacy work. Alongside the AGM, we hosted an Impact Engagement Session, inviting a wide range of stakeholders to share how Belfast Healthy Cities has influenced their work and communities. This session helped us understand the real-world impact of our projects, explore opportunities for collaboration, and shape our strategic direction moving forward.
