@LordBertie2 @AaronBastani @PatrickChristys @Nigel_Farage I was never a supporter of Margaret Thatcher (amongst other things her economic policies undermined the future of 🇬🇧) but, despite this, she did have principles and also believed in the impact of climate change.

@LordBertie2 @AaronBastani @PatrickChristys @Nigel_Farage You said the ‘rot’ set in 50 years ago; a time when she was in a position to influence the shape of education. You do know that as Secretary of State for Education she was responsible for the highest number of schools converting to become comprehensives? She was quite woke 🤷

@RupertLowe10 Overseas students are worth 41.9 BILLION to 🇬🇧 economy. Scholarships are awarded to the brightest and the best who come to 🇬🇧 for study. They contribute intellectual capital and take home social capital. Please try to support the future of 🇬🇧 instead of like a wrecking ball.

@RupertLowe10 OK I will try to explain this slowly: Foreign Aid obviously has a valuable humanitarian purpose but beyond that it is an investment in building social capital and trade links. It is an investment in the future of our country. Does that help you understand?

@LordBertie2 @AaronBastani @PatrickChristys @Nigel_Farage Margaret Thatcher was Minister of State for Education 50 years ago. Margaret Thatcher was the longest serving PM for 150 years and continued to have a strong influence on 🇬🇧 education system So, are you saying it was her fault?

@LeeAndersonMP_ @reformparty_uk To clarify, Reform are climate change deniers despite the overwhelming evidence there is climate change? PS adult politicians don’t post silly pictures

@AEbookcafe @SeeDeeMcLeod @real_shirelass The thread was about local elections and you talked about tyranny. I asked why you thought postponing local elections was an example of tyranny. Can you do that?

@bananna_and @TiceRichard Postponed not cancelled and it is accepted practice when local authority boundaries are changed. You do know that?

@TiceRichard @real_shirelass Tell me your objection to postponing the local authority elections? Seriously, do you have a coherent reason? Reorganisation was in the Labour Manifesto and postponing local elections to enable this has precedent. Are you simply winding up the hard of thinking?

@AEbookcafe @SeeDeeMcLeod @real_shirelass What ‘tyranny’ are you talking about? Did you see it as tyranny the last time local elections were postponed for a short period to enable reorganisation of some local authorities?
