I really lived through 9/11, the first Black President, a celebrity billionaire winning an election, the Capitol being stormed by Dwights, I’ve seen life with house phones and self driving cars…like bro…wtf is going on lol
One of the most incredible things about being black is the music. Have you ever been in a room full of black people singing “If I Ever Fall In Love”, or “Melodies From Heaven”, or “Faneto”?! Man, this sh*t is beautiful!!
We also hold an annual event called
#HashtagLunchbag
where we essentially pack lunches with Love and distribute them to the food insecure in Cincinnati.
You know what’s funny…a lot of the Black doctors, engineers, architects etc. don’t even think about coming back to pour into these kids. A lot of them make it out and never come back.
They could’ve bought in a black doctor, black engineer, black architect, black economist, black athlete, black entrepreneur, black ANYTHING but the school system chose Sexyy Red for the children???
Black Boy Joy is more than putting flowers in your head...it’s also blasting Jeezy pulling into work or not shrinking yourself to make other people comfortable.
I was listening to that Meek Mill Intro at work and he said “do you know the feeling, being irritated cause you gotta count a million”...I said no, turned the song off, and finished my reports smh.
Hey, if you all know of any college or high school seniors that want grad photos but can’t afford them can y’all link them with me. I can do them for free.
The rules literally just said they’re not going to tolerate transphobia, homophobia or other types of hate and y’all said it’s not for heterosexuals. Could y’all be anymore transparent and stupid?
I bet a paycheck She ain't pissed
Her dude is pissed, it's affecting the vibe in THEIR household, resulting in her having to speak up.
Alexis Ohanian ain't upset w being called "Mr Serena Williams"
I just saw that video of Jacob Desue pulling over that pregnant mom with her kids in the car and it just effed me up. She followed every rule in the book and still got a gun pulled on her smh.
Every Saturday morning my wife and I will slow dance in our living room to Dipset’s Rap City freestyle. I will be grabbing cheeks as we two step to the On My Block best.
Hey,
@afropunk
I have a brand called
@SpkngInTongues_
& I’m coming down to the event in Atlanta and was wondering if it would be possible to set up a table?!?
This is random but I hope that anyone reading this has a good day...specifically Black people. I know that a lot of us are tired so I pray that there is something or someone that brings you just a little happiness today.
@woodlandkills
This is why I’ve been if ignoring majority of the wild responses I’ve been getting. The field is literally in the middle of a majority white rural community so I’m not sure why they haven’t cleaned it.
My little cousin was shot 4 times yesterday by her child’s father and my sister just texted me to let me know that she’s out of surgery and awake and can sign which means that she can understand which is a huge blessing.
Why don’t we get Black films about cookouts, and summer at your granny’s, and making up dances with your cousins, or drill team and jump rope, and lighthearted issues about crushes and forgetting to take the meat out of the freezer?
And this is how culture is erased. There’s this weird belief that Black Americans don’t have culture and it’s because of things like this. Every contribution is co-opted and we’re forced to share it and it’s corny. Hip Hop is a Black American art form.
The discussion about the origins of Hip-Hop has reached a level of tribalism that honestly makes me 🤮. We need to stop talking about Hip-Hop from the context of racial and ethnic pride and start discussing our culture through the lens of economics (the struggle doesn’t GAF if
