I recorded Golf Channel's 3 hr 47 min broadcast yesterday and noted to the second of everything they showed in hopes to provide data for debates on the timeline recently about the quality of the golf broadcasts. Here's a thread of what I found, love to hear your thoughts. 1/.

Commercial Load Cont:.They took 7 "Playing Through" breaks (muted broadcast on left, commercials on the right). Total "Playing Through" time was ~17m 42s. Add that to the official commercial break time, the audience saw ads of some sort for ~57m 31s, or ~25% of the broadcast.3/.

Model here for the Sony with an update behind the scenes. It now pulls in each players' last 8 tournaments worth of stats, instead of just pulling the full season. As long as the player has actually played 8 tournaments in their career, everyone is now on an equal playing field.

Broadcast Content Cont:.The broadcast window was able to catch shots from every player in the field. Mac Meissner was shown twice (first tee time), and Jackson Koivun shown 10x (last tee time). In theory, this means all 155 players were available for screen time. 8/.

Note: I recorded start times based on when the camera first pans to *something* and stop times when it moves to something else. Many "shots" were well over a minute long, bc they include setup, ball flight, and player reactions. Many were also in the 15-30 second range. 16/.

PGA results- pretty happy with these, guessing if you used it you had a decent week. Had the winner, 4 in the top 5, 11 in the top 20. 21/25 made the cut and all of what I'd consider the "value" plays made the cut. On to Colonial!

@_consistentgolf I get paired up with pretty bad golfers a lot. Their poor play on its own should never be a problem for you. It's not a competition (unless you made it one), you really shouldn't care about other people's golf. Be encouraging, say nice shot/putt if they hit one, make it fun.

Results for Masters. One of the better weeks it has had (limited field, I know). The top guy in the model actually won the event and it had 3 other top 5's. 9 in the top 20. 80% made cut rate. Would guess you probably had a decent week if you followed!

Just witnessed something extremely painful, a pain only those in the northern states will understand. It's been snowing most of the day, driveway has a few inches of snow yet to be shoveled. Just watched an Amazon driver pull into and up the entire driveway and back out 😢😢😢.
