As a server, I feel this. I can't tell you how many times I ran in the back room just to breathe in cool air and cry. Patio service in 100 degree weather with 90% humidity is brutal without a mask. It's damn near unbearable with one.

I met the major blue suit of a prestigious hotel rating association last week. He went into the story of how started out as a bus boy in the 80's and worked his way up in the industry. It was truly inspirational. He emphasized how far you can go in that industry without a degree.

I grew up in rural Georgia. There was an official don't ask, don't tell about guns on my high school campus. Most kids had a rifle in their truck during deer season and a pocket knife on them at all times just because. We never even had a threat of a shooting or violence.
