@DrAdamBitterman A lot of time it is personality and work ethic. Sometimes during interviews applicants can come come across as arrogant and not a team player. Communication is key in Healthcare delivery and arrogance can interfere greatly with this.

@ahelghawy Clearer guidelines and standard lab sets would help the rural/undeserved provider ensure better access. We will never have enough fellowship trained providers to assist in our undeserved/rural populations. They don't want to live in these areas.

@ahelghawy Can you speak to the issue of rheumatologist availability? Agree with lab interpretation errors, but access is a huge problems. Months to get in, need to travel 100's of miles, no access for medicaid patients, and don't get me started on getting a pediatric patient evaluated.

@DavidKPeprah While it is a job, that job is not independent of a trainer whose license you depend on to "practice" under. There are many attending who would be very happy to not take residents any more. A NP or PA makes more financial sense. What needs addressing is med loans.
