I think trauma is a psychosocial issue and I doubt that most psychiatrists frame it through a psychosocial lens. Social workers are social workers because we consider the psychosocial environment.

So true. My gifted son w a 138 iq was diagnosed w adhd at 14 after suffering a tbi and psychiatrists use the adhd diagnosis to say he became mentally I’ll when he got Lyme 10 years ago. That they did not treat. It’s victim blaming on steroids. Dx used to harm
