@43blah @cashandcarrots We are already seeing effects of moving to renewables. If you recollect when CP started the worry was we would hit 4°, although some people still think that is possible many are now saying 2° or 2.5°. Whether that will still be livable in, I don’t know.

@dougiefresh3319 Those are the physical ways birds die. The vast majority of birds dying because of our behaviour, such as pollution from burning of fossil fuels, traffic emissions, night light pollution, & agriculture pollution. The 1st 2 hopefully being replaced by less dangerous windmills

@MatthewSlyman Yes, some water filters can remove microplastics from drinking water. Best filters have a filtration medium that's as small as or smaller than 2.5 microns, which is the size of most microplastics. But TBH they are everywhere. The only real solution is to reduce plastic waste.

@davehawkinsSOA If we didn’t have the renewables we do have then the emissions would be even higher. It is disheartening to know that all renewals have done is to offset the increase in demand. But every emission counts and we just need to keep pushing the Green agenda.
