@dovidmargolin @Mottel That feels quite unfair Dovid. I would be happy to take this conversation offline, but at this point I don’t find the tenor of this interaction helpful or respectful. Good Schabbes.

@Mottel @dovidmargolin I’m sorry i come off as only critical online. I believe I have regularly liked/shared things that were positive about Chabad, not the least of which was the Incredible event in Berlin this past Sunday. But I hear the critique of negativity in the online space. Gut Schabbes

@dovidmargolin @Mottel I have lots of positive things to say about Chabad, which I have shared with both of you in real life. Immunity to criticism and growth does not feel like a sign of strength

@dovidmargolin @Mottel First off, it feels as if your response is coming off a bit as a personal attack (first the implication that it might not have happened, second that I only feel this way because I am a member of the ‘liberal rabbinate’, never mind my Orthodox semikha)

@Mottel In a story I don’t like to think about, it was a 14ish year olds insistence that I was putting on tefillin wrong (never mind I was taught by my father who was taught by his grandfather) which caused me to basically stop wrapping for 5 years

@ShlomoFelber This also exists in Russian v Polish—-zhid is an offensive term for Jews in Russian, but zydow (pronounced zhid-ov) is the neutral term for Jew in Polish
