Josh Hawley didn't vote. He was in MO today "assessing" flash flood damage...from last week. He said it was "urgent" to get people the help they need. We don't expect to see him in MO again unless there is another vote to dodge or when he is up for reelection in 2024.

As an educator, it's distressing that in my district a teacher with a doctorate makes $43-74K per year (the high end is for 30yrs/service). Teachers get frozen on the pay scale at $42K after year 8 if they fail to get a masters. Then people wonder where the teachers are going.

As a fellow educator, it is puzzling to me you would spend 3.5 years on a theory that has no practical application in PK-12, nor did it come to the forefront as a talking point until 2020. My EdD work actually focused on practical applications like leadership and policy analysis.

It's been a day of sadness, anger, and anxiety. I live a mile from CVPA and due to 4-day weeks in my district, I was home today. The relentless sound of sirens & helicopters this morning was scary. Not as scary as what those kids and school staff experienced. Too close to home.
