One of the most fascinating studies covered in our deep dive into training for cardiovascular health was on the "dose" of exercise to prevent age-related cardiac stiffening. It's 4-5 days/week minimum throughout life. Exercising 2-3 days per week doesn't cut it and wasn't much better than being sedentary in terms of heart structure.
