@NaMesoAtta Not to ruin this good joke, but all normativity can be retained if only categoricity is rejected. That includes the objectivity of moral evaluation and whatever happens to be guiding your actions.

@NaMesoAtta Preview: All categoricity is normative, but the reverse isn’t true. Rejecting categoricity qualifies as moral anti-realism. A rejection of categoricity can coexist with an acceptance of irreducibility. Moral anti-realism can coexist with normative realism.

@PhilWMagness How did Biden ignore the ruling? I know the canned answer but the evidence seems to show that he made adjustments after the court ruling.

@LinkofSunshine They don’t care about the internal stability of our system, and some see Trump’s anti-establishment side as an accelerant or at least like seeing establishment elites squirm. Bush OTOH did Iraq which is literally worse on the human suffering level.

@KurtCouchman @PhilWMagness @michaelbd Did the ruling literally bar the cabinet level person from accessing the agency’s data, or just the DOGE staff?

@ArmandDoma Also irt the Trump side, they don’t know, don’t know how government works, wouldn’t believe you if you told them, or finally want to see it all burn.

@whignewtons You see what DOGE is doing as closely similar to what you’re alluding to re the last 15 years?

Trump doesn’t care and normal mandate rules don’t apply to someone who is term limited, feels little loyalty to any institution, and just wants to declare things. He did 1/6 and was rewarded. He can act a fool now.
Harris got 48.3% of the vote. Trump got 49.8%. Trump's election was not carte blanche for "let's have outright racists and Neo-Nazis at the highest level of American government." Republicans are overstepping.
