Put this together a few years ago for some of the rugby players who enjoyed a post training coffee club. The below stands true for any athlete. Remember calories, carbohydrates and sugars are also found in some of the most popular hot drink choices and not just food!
A look back at the impact of having a kitchen installed into the Warrington rugby training facility
Allowed some solid nutrition practices to be built with the youth, academy and senior players ranging from easy access & simple home made sports foods to cooking classes
I never thought I would lose my dad 6 months before completing my PhD. It was tough, it was very hard at times but that didn’t mean things had to stop. Many students lose parents every year & it’s important we talk about it so those students know that they are not not alone 🗣🙏🏻

If we flip this..at what point should a nutritionist provide S&C advice? IMO almost never, 95% are not qualified & never studied it. Solution...restructure budgets to employ a nutritionist to do the job they are trained to do & provide athletes with qualified nutrition support

Glad you enjoyed it, Alex. James may want to weigh in here but a lot of the time S&C coaches will pick up the slack due to clubs not having budget for even a part time nutritionist. It’s needs must in that situation. Befriending a nutritionist may be a good idea in that situation
