Yes. Not a psyop. Worse. We are dealing with a culture. A culture of bureaucratic authoritarianism devoid of true democratic oversight or control whose primal impulse is self-protection and self-enhancement.
The problem with talking about psyops is that it is conspiratorial: it implies an operation and therefore a plan. It would be more accurate and also more disturbing to view the bureaucratic authoritarianism of the present as the product of impersonal ideological and class forces working through an autonomous administrative state. Were there only an operation, we could find out who planned it and fire or unelect them. It will be more difficult to control a class and a state.

@its_mccarthy #3 wasn’t clear to me and #4 didn’t strike me as making a clear point . Also in #2 not sure DEI was a huge cost for corporations. Probably a lot easier to pretend you care about DEI than competitive markets.

The CBC does the same dirty tricks # as USAID. Like USAID’s funding of pesticide/GMO propaganda and dirty tricks, the CBC floods airwaves with @usask Stuart Smyth shilling same crap and won’t tell public he is financed by worlds largest pesticide and biotech companies.
CBC news is currently melting down over the USAID firings and cuts. Why? It's none of our business.
