Thanks to @PhillyInquirer for publishing my opinion piece on OPS/SCS. These are critical, evidence-based, life-saving places that need to be expanded and destigmatized.

This is John Fetterman endorsing ethnic cleansing. There’s no other way to put it.
Sen. FETTERMAN on Trump saying the US will "take over" the Gaza strip and relocate all Palestinians while area is rebuilt: "It's a provocative part of the conversation, but it's part of the conversation, and that's where we are. The Palestinians have refused, or they've been unwilling to deliver a government that provided security and economic development for themselves. They allowed 10/7 to occur, and now Gaza has to be rebuilt. Where are the people going to live? Where are they going to go? So it's part of a conversation with where they're at right now."

@MikeSchlossberg One can always find reasons to delay social progress. “Not the right time” is historically a very popular one. Improving people’s material conditions is good both morally and politically. And since private business often follows public policy, take credit and lead by example!

“Unforced error” is such a callously detached way to talk about the labor rights of millions of people. In my field all organizing physicians (esp. residents/fellows) are at risk. This is an abrogation of duty. In a real political party there would be apologies and resignations
Due to an unforced error by Democrats, we lost the National Labor Relations Board majority two years earlier than expected. This is a huge setback for the hundreds of thousands of workers across this country organizing for a better contract. Let me explain. 🧵

To all progressives, do not give these fucking losers your time or money ever again. It’s a dying (in many cases literally) party that objectively cannot even be bothered to pretend to cate about its base.

The AHA has done more to denounce the atrocities in Gaza than any medical society. Like academic institutions being targeted and purposefully destroyed, so have health care workers and infrastructure, yet the best our profession offers is mealy-mouthed equivocating.
The American Historical Association overwhelmingly approved a resolution at its annual meeting on Sunday to oppose "scholasticide" in Gaza, condemning Israel's systematic targeting and destruction of the Palestinian education system and Palestinian educators.

@janecoaston This is super lazy, pop-psych-esque analysis. Whenever legitimate polls are conducted on the favorability of “left” policies they are almost exclusively massively popular and usually even across party lines.

My favorite genre of tweet continues to be people in positions of immense power essentially saying “someone should do something about this.”
It's happening right in front our eyes. It's accelerated rapidly in the last 24 hours. Not sure why everyone doesn't see this. 1/ Can I take a minute to connect the dots - on how Trump is putting into action a plan to cripple our democracy in a way we may never recover from?

Contrary to popular belief, insurance companies don’t actually have to pay people to write articles like this because they know enough greasy bootlickers with a background in economics exist and simply do it for the love of the game.
Insurance companies are low-paid middlemen who are hired to play the bad guy in the bloated U.S. health care system. The real people overcharging you are the providers themselves.

Mentioning out of pocket costs without mentioning premiums is a slimy little maneuver. Lumping physicians/nurses with hospitals under the “provider” label is purposefully dishonest, especially when considering the percentage of “employed” physicians.
