@krtntty @LewisTh54711645 @DanielInBiz don't have a rule, sometimes I double sometimes it's 20% depends on performance. More of an art than a science

@ron_ecomm @MartinLasmanis @BlackLabelAdvsr I just wanna be able to keep selling my $1 products at a 30x markup to middle aged women on Facebook, is that too much to ask? 😂 National security means nothing when we have a dropshipping industry to protect

So do you think it would be better for the US to manufacture all goods domestically? Personally, I don’t think that’s the best use of their resources. They could continue focus heavily on software, AI, military / weapons, music and film That’s what the US is the best in the world at. Why would they want to allocate resources away from those things to an industry that doesn’t pay as well for the people working in it and that they can import for cheaper? Likely, average wage would go down and prices for consumers would go up. I get the national security thing but surely the best way to approach that would be diversification of critical parts / products, no?

Whenever I hear stuff like this I always think about the example with India and their hand loom industry. The government wanted to protect that industry and the jobs there, even though there were people and countries that could do it a lot more efficiently. In turn the act of the government intervening and trying to protect this industry actually held India back. They could have been innovating in other areas and focusing on what they were better at than other counties. A good short video by Milton Friedman on this here (would encourage to watch the full series, great watch)
