A very good day at the office.
@WhittonUnitedFC
very proud of everyone involved today, players and staff. I get so much more satisfaction winning as a manager than as a player.
I have tried my best to be diplomatic and respectful about why I left
@CornardUtdFC
but now seeing they are signing players, when they literally owe thousands to players current and past. It is clear they have no intentions to make things right. 1/2
Unfortunately myself and
@LeeTownrow
have made the tough decision to step down as the management team
@CornardUtdFC
. We feel we have taken the club as far as we can with the current resources available. I will always have a soft spot for this club. 1/2
Fantastic win for
@WhittonUnitedFC
last night. It definitely was not a pretty game, and took a lot of hard work, plus some luck with the goal 👀. Another step closer to keeping this club in the division.
Football is not all about money! But every little helps, and if a player or staff member has an agreement then it should be honoured. Even worse than not being able to do so is constantly making false promises.
Another great result for
@WhittonUnitedFC
back to back wins for the first time this season. Still some work to do but so nice to see the boys hard work starting to pay off.
It’s been a tough few weeks with players unavailable, but todays hard fought win against a very good
@OfficialHarwich
side. makes it 2 wins and 3 draws out of the last 7. Game management is very hard to install in young players, hopefully we learn from today.
After a very poor second half performance from us
@WhittonUnitedFC
last Saturday. Coming back from 3-1 to get a point away from home today shows the lads are hopefully starting to believe in them selves. Big game against
@HB_FC
Tuesday!
Great performance all round from the squad today. Especially away at
@Holbeach_UtdFC
a lot of quality in there side, they don’t lose many at home! Another 3 points towards safety for
@WhittonUnitedFC
.
Last nights win puts us 2nd in the leagues form table. But we could have been punished for a sloppy 2nd half performance. Hopefully Saturday we can secure safety against
@The_Bloaters
Great win for
@CornardUtdFC
I thought
@DissTownFC
were the best team we have played this season. We got lucky with the officials decisions. But makes up for Saturdays officiating.
Eventful 1st game
@WhittonUnitedFC
. started like a train,then reduced to 10 men. Went 2-0 down, forced to make changes to the shape/team at half time. Start well again, go 3-0 down. Get it back to 3-2, they get a sin bin. Cant take our chances finished 3-2. Learnt a lot.
After an unacceptable performance last week
@WhittonUnitedFC
we earned a well deserved point against a very good
@NorwichCBSFC
side. And it was nice to compete against
@white_danny
in the opposing dugout. And not have to listen to waffle…..Well not an excessive amount.
I wish I could say it was a strong 50/50!! But the reality is I managed to rupture my Achilles before I even started preparing the boys for the game. Great win though
@StanwayRovers
another semi final 👊🏻
Being disappointed with a point, after going behind and down to 10 in the first half last night against a very hard working
@wivenhoetown_fc
shows how far the group have come.
@WhittonUnitedFC
All the best to everybody involved
@BranthamAth
for the coming season. Will be keeping a close eye. Great club, proud to have been involved. Up the imps.
The fine margins between success and failure in football still amazes me. But all we can do is try to learn from every training session and fixture we are lucky enough to be involved in.
Another frustrating afternoon at
@StanwayRovers
today. But loads of positive’s, 5 clean sheets on the bounce, Work ethic spot on, and created lots of chances. We just need to work on going cold in that final moment.
So no upset last night. Great reaction after the break, Unlucky not to get a point at the end. But our first half performance wasn’t good enough, we took too long to get to grips with there movement up top. Work rate and desire was brilliant.
One of the first things I was taught about football was to work hard, run about and leave the pitch knowing you gave everything . I’m not sure that is in the modern football coaching curriculum. How many passes you complete may well be.
Big game for
@CornardUtdFC
today in the FA vase. I’m very lucky to have my old man in the dugout with me today. While
@LeeTownrow
has a well earned holiday.
Very happy with the result today
@CornardUtdFC
although we made hard work of it. biggest positive of the day was two 18yr olds getting on the score sheet. All the best to
@NorwichCBSFC
for the rest of the season.
Don’t often speak my mind on social, if ever. But... Biggest game in
@AFCSudbury
history and they want to sit in and try to pass the ball. Just turn them, press them, be aggressive, be vocal, make contact with someone! Turn it into a battle.
Bad day at the office today for
@StanwayRovers
our second half performance lacked all the basic parts of the game, effort, desire, hard work and communication. We have to hold are hands up as players and staff and say today was unacceptable. And put it right on Tuesday.
Very proud of all the players
@CornardUtdFC
today. Competed with
@EnsignOfficial
for 90 minutes, certainly didn’t look like there was a division between the two sides. Penalty practice this week I think. All the best in the next round fellas.
Another 3 points today for
@CornardUtdFC
. Didn’t play well for large periods of the game, showing that we are far from the finished article. but once again showed the mental strength to get the win. 👊🏻
As management it’s often said you learn more about players in defeat. And today proved that to be true, after going down to 10 men in the first 20 mins the boys worked there socks off. And did the club proud. All the best to
@BurnhamRamFC
in the nest round.
Today
@StanwayRovers
we have to hold are hands up say we were not good enough first half. And I take some responsibility for that as it’s my job to get the boys ready for that first whistle. But the great reaction from the boys second half, makes proud to be involved.
@LeeTownrow
Appreciate that bud. But a lot needs to be said about the work
@tony_lanni
and
@JohnWatkins80
have put into this young group prior to me coming on board. The jobs not done yet, but big steps forward for the club.
@BranthamAth
this is becoming a weekly thing. But once again massive well done to the boys. And I called goal time for
@hughesy26
did you have the preds on?
It still amazes me how people who have played the game at a good level, will make statements on here clearly based on a dislike of a club. Liverpool were not good enough today Tottenham probably deserved the points on chances. But jota is a peno.,Kane is a red,Robinson is a red.
@sibbo4
Did not enjoy it! Had
@M_Bruvs
breath in my face and
@swannybuh
needing to stop to piss very 5 minutes, 7 foot tall bladder size of pea. But 1 posative got to hear
@MichaelMuzza313
voice softly in my ear.
@_Harrynorman
@StanwayRovers
Hell of a player, would love to have you with me but can’t expect you to step down a level and travel to places like parsons drove!
I have a bit of history with both clubs tonight,
@ColU_Official
and
@AFCSudbury
but I’m definitely team AFC Sudbury for this one. All the best lads. Enjoy it.
@Mattcarmichael9
@OfficialHarwich
😂 me and the photographer made up at the end. Obviously over the moon with the result but it’s definitely bitter sweet as could affect your playoff hopes. As a club you’re trying to do things the right way. Unlike others.
@LeeTownrow
@town_stats
Always remember him scoring and running to a field full of cows to celebrate, and pointing to the back of his shirt with no name on it 😂
@bseabanksy
He will really appreciate you saying that! Definitely two of my best memories those games. It’s a shame that
@ColU_Official
don’t seem to remember those achievements, didn’t see a single picture of my old man when I visited the new stadium.
