Holy shit I got 7th/86 at Ignition 289!!! Lost a heartbreaker game 3 set to Revolver on stream and then made the losers run, beating Lavish and Ravenking on the way!!! Feels so good that all my hard work has been paying off, only up from here!

It’s mostly qol stuff. His combo game got little-no changes, the exception being landing BAir is easier to hit. Dash attack, BAir and ZAir are more reliable, less committal options. DSmash is also more useful now for option coverage with tech chases because of the knockback buff

He’s right at the border of high tier and mid tier imo. His strengths are his mobility and ability to capitalize hard off reading people. His FTilt is a stupid good 2-frame, he’s got really good reaction-style tech chasing because of his dash attack, and his trapping is potent

I’m not sure why this happened for Riptide and Low Tide City as well, but it seems that they don’t seem to care about the ramifications of doing that. Which is that very good players end up with terrible seeds and unreasonably difficult brackets. I will give some examples below

The DAir buff does functionally nothing for his gameplay unless you’re a quickplay scrub, and ppl telling you BAir strings got better are mostly wrong. Dash attack already had followups if the opponent didn’t react with DI away, but now those followups work for longer windows
