@RyanLikesCats81 @dan_worts @ScottAdamsSays And that begs the question: Do we really need to buy this? Is there REALLY no alternative? Can we redesigned or retroactively update? Should we buy more now then never again? Not just "I hit my baked-in reorder point no one has updated on 25 years; here's a PO for the MOQ."

@RyanLikesCats81 @dan_worts @ScottAdamsSays I would agree regarding fraud, but that just means someone in charge of that purchase is lazy/doesn't care, which also is not a good thing.

@RyanLikesCats81 @dan_worts @ScottAdamsSays And finally, if you read the article, the AF is still 100% convinced they need this overpriced cup. They didn't obsolete it, they just paused orders for it temporarily. Worse yet, the orders for cups that got everyone's attention were due to broken $0.50 plastic handles...

@AdamKinzinger Not everyone is as weak-minded as you, Adam... The success of others does not cause strong-minded people any fret.

@jonfavs The guy that was fired was probably the one who bought $500M worth of perishable food that had no chance of reaching it's intended destination in the first place...

@elonmusk At this point, it should be abundantly clear that judges like this benefit directly from these corrupt practices.

@MarioNawfal So unaware of their surroundings... Probably did a panic stop to get rear-ended. Could have driven forward through the crossing. Could have easily backed through the crossing guards. Could have driven off the road to the right. These are the idiots who drive insurance rates up.

@dan_worts @ScottAdamsSays Yes, most likely. But again, even if it isn't, it's still a sign of how bad things are & there is absolutely no defense for it & it needs to be addressed.

@quantian1 Your way of thinking - the "this is always how we've done it" - is EXTREMELY TOXIC, & results in significant cost. If how you've done it is constantly tested & continues to win, so be it. But doing it "just because" is utterly foolish.

@dan_worts @ScottAdamsSays You & I can get those sorts of all day every day from literally hundreds of vendors at much more reasonable costs... A quick Google search will show this plainly. There is no defending this nonsense. Either it's not documented properly (bad processes or culture), or its fraud.

@JimDeVries62 Lol, no. They MAY be misinformed, but they almost certainly aren't the lazy ones... Where is the procurement specialist, accountant, or engineer who's able to document that this was R&D vs production or the results of tooling/setup? There should be a very, very clear paper trail.

@JimDeVries62 @ScottAdamsSays "Fits the narrative?" LOL, no. If that's all it was, it'd be very easy to show the proper documentation & debunk the narrative. (Been there, done that.)

@JimDeVries62 So again, at best, this is someone being lazy, which isn't a good thing...
