I'm not Jewish, but I speak up because, as the offspring of the greatest generation, I was brought up with a deep understanding of what my parents, aunts and uncles sacrificed to defeat the fascists. Years ago I got a notice from IRS that income had been recorded on my SSN that I hadn't reported on my 1040. The wages were paid at a restaurant and a nursery 200 miles away from where I lived (Mexican illegals, without any doubt). Not knowing what else to do, I called Social Security. A woman with a foreign accent answered. "Someone is using my SSN" I said. "Who is it?" she asked. "I have no idea." "If you don't know who it is, we can't do anything." End of conversation. I ignored the notice and never heard another word.
