This is true. You tell normal people you like pro wrestling and they give you a disgusted look and say, "you like WWE?" They might not know AEW exists but they know WWE is stupid.
WWE were the only game in town for 20 years, and the shit they did embarrassed everyone. Their influence in the genre is so great that too many people ape their style. And now we're here.
