I'm not saying it's a proper use. But to be fair to President Biden, this particular bit of scripture is used extensively by the U.S. military (particularly spec ops forces). I took this pic at Camp Brown in Kandahar.
I left my wife of five weeks to be an Army spouse all on her own.
I celebrated my 22nd birthday in Afghanistan.
I missed my brother-in-law's wedding.

My experiences were probably typical of an American soldier in the GWOT era. The end of the war in Afghanistan has offered a chance to reflect.

This is an incredible claim. Social conservatives have had immense success at the ballot box and in state legislatures. Then federal judges declared those results unconstitutional with novel legal concepts. Now we're fighting on the Left's preferred battlefield—and winning.

Ten years ago today, I received my first law school acceptance letter. There was still a lot of work to do, but I knew on that day that I would one day be a lawyer. The road has been different than I expected it to be, but I am grateful.

I unknowingly asked my law school advisor to write a letter of recommendation for me as I applied for a fellowship at an org he had spent his career working against. He sent a gracious letter & shared his concerns with me only afterward.

Sad news to report this evening. Longtime ECS football coach Jim Heinz has passed away. Won four state titles with the Eagles and was a valuable staff member on this year’s title team. Thoughts and prayers to his family and many friends. RIP coach.
