As we get closer to next week, it becomes clearer that an uptick in severe weather activity is possible. While uncertainties are still plentiful, most ensembles seem to point to what could be a potent setup on the 12th. Trends and run-to-run continuity need to be watched closely.

The 00z Dodge City sounding shows a lapse rate of +225.3 °C/km within the inversion at 530 m AGL. If you were standing upright in the inversion, the temperature at your head would be roughly 1°F warmer than at your feet.
