Thread 1/2 A passion for Teaching - Inside the Trojan Horse A massive heartfelt thanks to @likeMEDIA.tv to producing this 3 part series who also covered the cost. Shout out to @Tahiralam99 @InamMalik81 and and massive thanks to them for taking time out. In the first of a 3 part Trojan Horse series video, my handsome self (🤔), Inaam the Model (🕴), Rizwan the Stategist (😎) and Tahir Alam The Don (🫡) we have all come together to share our stories about our love and passion for teaching and helping the communities we worked in. We also discuss aspects of the grave injustices we suffered via the Trojan Horse scandal. Me and Tahir remain banned. Inaam's ban was overturned at the High Court and Rizwan's case collapsed at the TRA / NCTL because DfE Barristers decided to lie and withhold critical evidence; didn't expect anything less. Disclaimer. I have never worked with nor did I know Rizwan or Inam prior to Trojan Horse. With Tahir, I met with him a few times here and there but more so when the DfE orchestrated official meetings in the hope of a mutual collaboration, yes by the DfE!!! I got to know these brothers because of an injustice. I was the Deputy Head / Acting Head at Oldknow Academy, now known as the Ark Victoria Academy. Riz was Deputy Head at Nansen Primary school, Inaam worked at Park View School now known as Rockwood Academy And Tahir was the Chair of Trustees at both Nansen and Park View. All 3 schools are in different parts of Birmingham and again no connection to each other, other than, wait for the shock, a memorandum of understanding formally facilitated by the DfE. Let me clarify. Because my school, Oldknow Academy was so outstanding and because Tahir's Park View school was one of the most successful schools in England, the higher powers at DfE decided they wanted our schools to collaborate whereby I was, again on DfE recommendations, to became an Associate Head at a local failing school and we were to work together to improve the designated school. It a was great honour for me. My short time at Oldknow was something very special. I was assigned by my school to open a free school and we were also allocated £2 million pounds by the government to extend my school to an additional 9 classrooms. We were encouraged by DfE to become a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) to take over local failing schools. We also had a partnership with a local chain of private fee paying schools. Why, because our kids were so good; this chain, wanted our inner city state school pupils to have access to their schools. They loved what we did. Had I been there longer, I would beaten this chain in terms of pupils outcomes. I don't gloat, I'll tell you as it is. Our careers fell short because of a fake letter outlining a supposed plan of Muslims taking over state schools. Let me ask you a question; how on Earth with all the government agencies from DfE, EFA to Ofsted and with all the legal controls and regulations, can anyone take over a school or supposedly Islamify it? I have never heard more nonsensical shit in my life. 9. Be politically independent and don't allow a nuanced political agenda to influence an inspection outcome. On each inspection there must be an independent inspector employed by an ombudsman or similar to ensure inspections were carried out fairly and without bias, racism, prejudice, and discrimination. Look at what Ofsted shamefully did with Ruth Perry. Look at what Ofsted disgracefully did in the Trojan Horse scandal. Literally; they walked in one day and gave a school outstanding and walked back in the next day and gave it inadequate. Pat on the back Ofsted (bastards).

This is welcomed. But she will need to set out holistic terms of reference that acknowledge and cover the Islamophobic Trojan Horse scandal perpetuated by the Tories. 1000's of predominantly Muslim children lost out on an excellent education. Why? Because they were Muslims. Some of these schools are still underperforming. A thorough investigation is needed.

The previous Secretary General was incompetent and non-impactful. The organisation is seen as a 'Muslims in suits only' organisation whereby the organisation has lost touch with the community and with grass roots efforts. You are still banking on the old skool leadership and the abbreviations 'MCB'. You need to re-assert your presence let alone re-connect. MCB is detached from Masjids, community works, politics and serves a very narrow self-serving TOR. Rather than doing press releases and glorifying them, I welcome the inaugural speech to bring about new change. But, you have lost trust and are seen as a passive organisation. Go back to old skool thinking. Be sincere. Be active. And sustain it. All the best for the new leadership, if anything just ignore Zara's tenure. If you try and iota of trying on build on what she did, you will topple before you even get started.
