One of my favorite stories about my dad is how when he managed a Waffle House in Florida in the early 70s he revolutionized their hashbrowns by throwing random shit on top of it for drunk people and it was so good for business that they started putting the add-ons on the menu

I’ve gathered a few (of many) video examples of stats wrongly credited to JJJ:
1. Zion Williamson loses the ball on a drive to the basket and Tyus Jones recovers it. JJJ was credited for blocking Zion’s “layup”.

It’s VERY difficult to live day by day with the low pay in this industry. NBA paid just enough for me to afford living in NYC w/ FAFSA refunds. I won’t even get into my current situation, but definitely a constant battle of whether I can keep doing this or if it’s even worth it.
Breaking into the business of basketball coaching is an expensive endeavor. Entry level jobs can pay between $0-25K and let’s keep it real you gonna need to spend your own money to make it in this business. This thing is skewed towards ppl with financial freedom at a young age.

The stats keeping process at the NBA includes multiple stat checkers and about 12 different camera angles that aren’t open to the public. Home stats crews have a tendency to embellish on things like assists/tip rebounds/etc but blocks are pretty straightforward.

Could write a think piece on what I think went wrong here over the last 3 years, but larger point will be what the G League does a whole now. Hasn’t proven to be the development league for young prospects that the NBA would like, could see some larger scale reform happening.

It’s actually incredible to me how many people failed to recognize the context Jaden Hardy was in last season and how it effected his play. Drop him on ANY NCAA Team last year and he’s consensus T10. GLI was a huge (dysfunctional) leap, but it’ll pay off for him down the road.
