@DeborahClaireUK @WRobinson7160 Thanks! I am now getting targeted aircraft spares adverts popping up. π Although they may suit my bathroom. π€

@TakeThatClouds @cashandcarrots My strongest memory from my last visit to the Isle of Man is that I examined every cat I saw. Eventually, I found a tailless one.

@Piloto_Steve @DeborahClaireUK @WRobinson7160 Dear Sir, I have watched all 211 episodes of Aircrash Investigation multiple times. If, during the flight, your stick starts shaking, I will be in seat A11, ready to advise. π©ββοΈ

@Eric_Camel69 @DeborahClaireUK @WRobinson7160 And the flight management is Honeywell. My first mainframe was a Honeywell 6000, which started me off my programming career writing software in COBOL. Canβt have changed much since 1984.

@WRobinson7160 @DeborahClaireUK I love that I have learned this morning all about hotel mode, and I will be able to see it for myself when I do my flight.

@DeborahClaireUK @WRobinson7160 On takeoff, I always do the βV1β¦β¦Rotateβ callouts. I can tell by the looks that they know they have someone special on the passenger list.

@Birduder344 @WRobinson7160 I've gained a lot of piloting knowledge from watching Aircrash Investigation. Unfortunately, that valuable memory space could have been used to remember why I walked into the kitchen.

@WRobinson7160 The one thing I know about props is that if they stop in flight, you have to feather the blades. I shall remind the pilot of this when I board. π§ββοΈ

@cashandcarrots I'll be nipping over to the IoM for a few days. I last went in 2009βpretty sure that was on a Flybe Dash 8. As someone interested in aviation, Iβm embarrassingly short on flights to reminisce about. All I have is a few minutes in the cockpit of a 767 at FL430.

@Piloto_Steve @Eric_Camel69 Sorry, I happened to be playing around in Photoshop at the moment, I couldn't resist.

@DavidPrice96469 @DeborahClaireUK @OKAYFINE_Music I couldn't work out what he was after. Did he want a demo of how I studied for my A levels? Plus, who was this audience that I had to perform in front of?

@OKAYFINE_Music @DeborahClaireUK It is simple to explain, I learned about it back in 1980 during my A'level physics. Essentially a pressure disturbance in a saturated sky causing water vapour to momentarily condense. You can recreate it at home.
