@scriptwren I’m trying to teach my daughter that how others measure success is not something she should worry about and the only person she is in competition with is herself.

@scriptwren My daughter did magnificently well in her SATs & is now going to secondary school. Our celebrations were typically low key & her ‘reward’ was a new pair of Doc Martens that she had her eye on for ages.

@scriptwren Those who crow the loudest about stuff like this tend to not only hide the less idealistic side of their lives, but can also be less than compassionate when others do. Or at least that has been my experience in some cases.

@scriptwren I’m sick of those that post dozens of frankly banal pics with all the humble bragging. It’s always those that have more than many that feel the need to rub it in. Maybe they’re just insensitive & don’t realise what dicks they’re being because they never had to tighten their belts

@LesDennis Fair play for admitting you may have been mistaken. So many others are simply doubling down with bigotry, misogyny and hatred. It’s amazing how many sports and medical experts the internet has uncovered.

@JaneyGodley There is so much hatred and bigotry being spouted by all these armchair experts and keyboard warriors. So many cowards spew their vile opinions without having to face consequences. They’ve made up their tiny minds and no amount of facts and evidence will convince them otherwise.

@Dani_WSDK All I can say is I took them both and face value and enjoyed them for what they were. Too many people take the show far too seriously. It was originally conceived for kids in the main and that’s clearly still at its heart.

@FaerieCorpsey That won’t do it I’m afraid. It’s changed so much you’ll get all sad and nostalgic for how it used to be. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad, but just not the Camden of old. Mabel loves it and the walk along the canal to get to it is lovely.
