📣 Some big news! I am honored to join @USAmbPEPFAR and the incredible team @PEPFAR as the new Director for Behavioral Sciences. I have witnessed the tremendous impact of PEPFAR - and couldn’t be more thrilled to work with our partners to focus on this critical work.
We would like to extend our gratitude & warmest congratulations to HGHI's Associate Faculty Director @IngridKatzMD on her appointment as the Director for Behavioral Sciences at PEPFAR. Ingrid has been instrumental in shaping HGHI's initiatives since 2018.

A truly remarkable moment in the fight against the HIV epidemic. I am old enough to have attended the Vancouver AIDS Conference in 1996 when they announced Protease Inhibitors. This is equally as stunning. Grateful to be part of @PEPFAR
A sustainable HIV response cannot be achieved without rapidly reducing the 1.3 million new annual HIV infections worldwide. Lenacapavir potentially offers a tremendous HIV prevention option for populations that could benefit.

This upcoming week, we’ll celebrate the 21st anniversary of one of the most impactful global health programs to be created Every day I thank my lucky stars that this program came into existence and I get to be a part of it in this moment under the leadership of @USAmbGHSD
May 27, 2003, President George W. Bush signed H.R. 1298, the legislation authorizing @PEPFAR into law. 21 years later PEPFAR has surpassed all expectations, saving more than 25 million lives and changing the trajectory of the HIV/AIDS pandemic from hopelessness to hopefulness.
