Happy 201st Birthday, Indiana! 🎉. This flag from our collection is the original prototype for the state flag, designed by Paul Hadley of Mooresville. It was adopted by the Indiana General Assembly on May 31, 1917.

We would love to have you for a tour anytime. Many of the scenes in her books are based on her homes and land there.

The Lanier Mansion, considered one of the best examples of Greek Revival architecture in the country, is the "Crown Jewel" of Madison’s Historic District. You can see the Greek influence in the tall columns and pediments and painted brick exterior.
