When you go to Ken Ham's Creation Museum in Kentucky, his section on Church history literally goes from St Paul right to Martin Luther. That's Church history for him lol
Trads: we have no idea why TC, Strickland removal, etc.
Earlier in time- Hi I'm Tay, one of the top trad commentators in the US. Here's a book I wrote about how you were elected as a part of a masonic plan to infiltrate & destroy the Church.
Finally watched
@Trent_Horn
vs Dyer. Wow
Had no idea Jay was such an epistemic nihilist. His idiosyncratic agglomerate of Kant w/ Orthodoxy is dangerous for his followers. It requires a rather flimsy EO "paradigm" holding up a massive existential anvil that threatens to crush
@calvinrobinson
Please don't slander these people Fr.
Our Native Catholic brothers have suffered much from all sides and their rituals are perfect examples of enculturation.
I have seen a lot of people complain about St. Alphonsus Liguori as some kind of moral prude when he actually was the great mediator between the laxists and the rigorists.
Just glanced at Dyer's twitter, dude is losing it lol
"Thousands are leaving... believe me guys... any day now Romanism is collapsing.... Orthodox aren't decreasing worldwide, it's a Vatican Jesuit psyop" 🤬🤬
What Francis *really* said about female deacons, in a nutshell:
We’ve always had deaconesses not sacramentally ordained; soon, we will have non-sacramental deaconesses with heightened capacities for acting like ordained deacons.
He intimates this much RIGHT AFTER the “no”
Worst take ever.
Historically EO loved and even venerated St Francis. I have seen his icon in EO churches.
Only terminally online EO converts fall for this modernist take.
@GennadiosX
@son_of_a_plum
@NavMechEng
Francis of Assisi, for whom that city is named, is not a Saint in our Church, so I don't include the title of "Saint" in the city's name.
I hope critics of

@HippieReligious
take the time to read Miss B's take as she is one of the few who, despite many excuses that could make her write an emotional diatribe, rather dispassionately looks at what is being said.
I’m a hypocrite bc my entire former life revolved around creating “thirst traps,” drawing men in & then manipulating their lust for money.
I am an expert at it. I know what it is. I know how powerful & intoxicating it can be. I can pinpoint it with ease, even in photos that are

No matter what you do, simply engaging her she wins. Her whole schtick is to say controversial things then laugh all the way to bank.
Your best bet is to do penance quietly and offer it up for her.
Once again, certain Catholics are online whipping their rapid mobs & making a full display of their ignorance. I wouldn't be so bothered by it were it not for the fact they are denigrated brethren.
So, a 🧵on this:
Again, maybe I'm getting in my older curmudgeon phase, but this... I keep seeing this w/ Orthobros.
This is a man telling another man luigi that he looks better than RZ. They literally are calling each other hot 🤣
What am I missing? How is this not h0mo?
Am I the only one who thinks the whole physiognomy check thing is more than a little h*mo? Maybe I'm showing my age here but I never spent time worrying about how men look.
@MilitantThomist
You've just summed the entire problem with the conservative movement- give it enough time and the novelty becomes the norm we fight to preserve.
Mary is Queen of Heaven & Earth.
One day everyone will acknowledge her as this and:
Mother of God
Immaculate Conception
Ever Virgin
Mediatrix of All Graces
Co-Redemptrix
We need to start a "Mary is Queen" political movement.
Everyone will one day confess that Mary is Queen, either willingly as her child, or unwillingly as a child of the devil.
Comment "Mary is Queen" and RT so that everyone knows.
@Trent_Horn
No wonder this guy goes through religions like Kleenex tissues. His starting point is horrifyingly nihilistic. It can easily lead people into a Nietzschean indifference.
As Fr Fehlner noted:
October 13, 1917- Our Lady's apparition at Fatima ends
October 16, 1917- Kolbe's Militia of the Immaculata is established
October 25, 1917- Bolsheviks in Russia seize power, ushering in a worldwide secularist movement
These events are not unrelated...
The line of people going up for baptism last night. Confirmations the people took up both sides of the altar rail.
And this is just our tiny little N.O. parish. I wish I had greater insight into what is going on right now, why this year so many feel drawn.
There is something unique happening. My priest mentioned last night how when discussing with his other priest friends, they all had record numbers entering the Church last night.
I have heard this from elsewhere too.
God is good.
@takeheartmonica
Lila Rose pretty much owned this Chad wannabe. Most of what he said that I saw was correct though, but he's missing Christ, therefore has a toxic view of women.
@gezmedinger
Whether or not it is possible to have a stanrdized protocol for Pacing, or if it's by the nature of this subjective & specialized based on the individual, like nutrition.
Seems like what applies to one person never exactly applies to the next due to length, severity, etc
Trads have been promising me for a decade that any day now Pope Francis was going to pull off the mask & show his true colors. They never promised me it would be this good.
The reaction to this is illustrative of the cult of Erasmus that has infected Christianity since the Reformation.
It saddens me to see Christians have such a blatant disdain for our historical piety & the mystical sense in which the saints & sacramentals operate in this world
The response from Eastern Orthodox on this point is always so bad. It's a combo of obfuscation/ whataboutism, mirthless laughter, and denial.
But let's look at the implications of it...
Catholics, take note of the fact the EO want to debate filioque & EED with you all day. But why does no one bring up the Yoga/Sufi influenced breathwork so essential to hesychasm?
Image here is a Sufi Muslim counting prayer recitations with beads as he breaths
Working on a massacre of the Latin Catholics in Constantinople lecture. Plan to have it out in the next few weeks.
There's no point being lectured to about 1204 & the 4th Crusade without first discussing 1182, when the Greek Orthodox severely damaged relations b/w east & west.
He was the last Christian ruler of Constantinople & died in communion with Rome despite pressure from fanatic anti-unionists in the city who admitted they would rather live under the Turk than be in united to Western Christians.
May he intercede on behalf of Eastern Catholics

NPS barred our KoC from holding their annual Memorial Day Mass at a local cemetery. They said religious "demonstrations" will no longer be allowed on government property. A judge today ruled in our favor, Mass will be held tomorrow at the cemetery. Small but meaningful win.
I think this kid is new to his faith so I'll give him a bit of a pass, but this did make me chuckle. For years I only ever saw Catholics who sincerely thought EO were their brothers in faith. It was the EO attitudes that overtime soured this. It was so known it was a meme lol
If I tweet “I like Orthodoxy” a million Latins will swarm sperging out - pls go for a walk or something if me liking my own religion makes you lose control of your emotions
Catholics should refuse to accept this behavior. I have a deep love as a son to a father for Pope Francis, but I will never allow Maoist Mike or WPI to dictate to me how I am to read the Holy Father. Despite what he thinks, Mike is not the infallible interpreter of the Church
Funny seeing Dyer, et al in my TL doing damage control for the recent conversions. They've been predicting droves of us leaving for EO & now that their doomsday predictions aren't coming to pass, instead of admitting they're professional 🐂💩ers, they push the date forward...
St Francis literally donned the clothes of an Italian street beggar. Do you really think 13th cen indigents living in filth, eating scraps of trash knew what monks in the east were wearing & then copied them?
Am I the only one who thinks the whole physiognomy check thing is more than a little h*mo? Maybe I'm showing my age here but I never spent time worrying about how men look.
You will never see a renewal of the Church until young men & women in droves go into the monasteries & dedicate their lives to praying without ceasing for Holy Mother Church.
It may take 2 or 3 generations of it, but this is how you bring about a new evangelization.
@CatholicDwong
Which is why they are ultimately unable to read Sacred Sculpture typologically (in a mystical sense) as the Fathers and Scholastics did.
@WalmartThomist
A Cistercian monk can experience greater heights of mystical ecstasy in a cell like this than the majority of us could in the most adorned churches.
The more I study Catholicism in Africa, the more amazed I am. I am working on a book on inculturation, & here liberal academia has completely ignored this religious explosion bc it doesn't fit the narrative that colonialism is evil & failed.
@bethecreed
Catholics need to get better at steelmanning Protestantism, and stop strawmanning like this. The days of CA level apologetics are long gone.
Checked in on leftcath twitter, they're all mocking the Eucharistic revival. Do these people have no boundaries? Is there no end to their divisiveness?
11 years go I was received into the Catholic Church.
My priest took us aside & said in the early Church in North Africa one could walk from Levant to the coast by light of the candles on Easter.
That image has always stuck with me.
May the Light of Christ shine on you all
The cult of the nuclear family is one of the great lies of modernity. It leaves parents isolated, vulnerable, exhausted.
Large extended families of relatives & other local families is a stabilizing bulwark of a culture's health & longevity throughout history.
Bring Back Clans
It warms my heart after years of championing this man, to see others recognizing him as well. Bekkos was a true Confessor of the Catholic Church who suffered much for his defense at Lyon II
Photius did not even know about the "essence energies real-distinction" nor "eternal manifestation". Try to find it anywhere in the Mystagogy. It's a doctrine the EOs had to make up because John Bekkos debunked them so hard on the Filioque.
A man who extolls the virtues of a society named after Pope St Pius X is unable to identify the heresy that their patron saint was responsible for defining.
This reads as bad as Alanis Morrisette's ironic song that fails to mention anything ironic.
@briankeepsworth
I’ve read probably more of his works than most. I combed through a huge amount of his stuff to write my modernism book.
Tbh, I think he was quite a modernist.
He was big on synodality, he pushed religious freedom, which had always been seen as a heresy.
He also wrote that
@Catholicizm1
I assume he just enjoys getting a rise but yeah, medievals weren't really burning women. That was a modern thing.
As a medievalist I have to defend my medieval brothers from slander lol, their approach was really to just ignore women all together.
I pray I live to see the day the Church dogmatizes Our Lady as Mediatrix and Co-Redemptrix. It's time we stop letting the sensibilities of non-Catholics dictate our Marian beliefs.
In honor of his feast- Irish missionaries (unlike Erasmus) offer Catholics a way to evangelize the world.
Erasmus despised simple laity as backwards buffoons worthy only of his scorn.
Irish missionaries embraced the Celtic spirituality & peacefully converted an entire island
I'm not convinced it's a good thing to laud him. I get the pro arguments, but the con arguments have not been refuted from what I have seen. Someone can prove me wrong, but his disobedience to the papacy does not bode well if we want to be consistent.
We are very happy to announce on this the most holy feast of the Ascension; that in conjunction with

We are very grateful
True story- cousin had 1, we joked it was evil bc it would say weird things, so we broke it. Thing sat as a prop in his room for years. One day a group of us (totally sober) are sitting in his room, after 5+ years broke this thing opens its eyes says 'Hitler' then dies again 💀
Notice in this icon that The Father is presented as Wichasha Wakan (Holy Elder), Holy Spirit as an Eagle (Sacred bird), Jesus as a Son who if you notice is wearing the directions symbolizing Christ as creator of all 4 directions.
Iconoclast George Browne, bishop in Ireland of the counterfeit church propped by Henry VIII, in the 1540s had Dublin Cathedrals great collection of relics, incl an ancient staff of Christ (Bachal Isu) brought by St Patrick (hes pictured w/ it) thrown into a heap & burned

From Met Kallistos Ware:
"there are striking parallels between the hesychast practices & Indian yoga. As an aid in meditation, the yogi repeats a mantra or short formula, often employing a chaplet as he does so.
His aim is samadhi (stillness, hesychia), & he may experience...
4th Lateran Council, 1215
Canon 4. On the pride of the Greeks towards the Latins
Although we would wish to cherish and honour the Greeks who in our days are returning to the obedience of the apostolic see, by preserving their customs and rites as much as we can in the Lord...
There is something unique happening. My priest mentioned last night how when discussing with his other priest friends, they all had record numbers entering the Church last night.

God is good.
There is no "de-canonization" process. The magisterium can suppress the veneration of a saint, or limit it to a local cult, but Simon is most certainly among the Triumphant.
I would agree that widespread public veneration isnt prudential given the magisterium's decisions tho
I am liturgically conservative. Flippantly adding innovations to the Mass is wrong. But thats not what is happening.
1st, the ceremony *precedes* the Mass. Mass hasnt begun. This follows liturgical committees requests for incorporating cultural norms into peoples worship time.
@TheMistressB
Assuming you'll be doing a general confession?
I found that a good priest will be able to guide the confessional process. Mine deduced from what I had confessed, & brought up points that got me thinking, & honestly on the spot I thought of like 5 or 6 sins I hadn't remembered.
@gezmedinger
I agree it needs to change but the word needs to pack a punch- like avalanche, steam rolled, pulverize, clobber, demolish.
Not sure what acronyms would work LOL but people need to feel the force of the word to relate to it.
I am going to be recording a video soon on the Charismatic Renewal, and it is not going to be pretty.
I am sure many will be upset, but enough is enough, this thing is insane and is a synthesis of a number of heresies.
@MilitantThomist
My favorite thing about that movie is that it unintentionally made Cromwell out to look like the pompous ass he was, and made Charles I pitiable lol
"That is the MI: to bring the Immaculata into being w/in all hearts, that by entering those hearts & taking most perfect possession of them, she may there give birth to the sweet Jesus, God, & there raise Him to perfect age. What a beautiful mission" ~ Maximillian Kolbe
The "protect American lives in the event of an invasion" argument falls apart when one realizes just how ready the Japanese were to negotiate peace terms months before the bombs were dropped.
I don’t think anyone realizes the gravity of what’s occurring with Orthodoxy finding the internet.
People are finding the beauty is unmatched. The asceticism is found nowhere else in Christianity. And we’re wiping the floor with everyone we debate.
There’s a reason it’s
A Catholic disparaging other Catholics because of their race or place of birth is from Satan.
You can love your homeland, your ethnic identity, you can love the color of your skin. I don't care.
But when you speak ill of your brothers in Christ you bring shame on all of us.
St Maximilian Kolbe envisioned universities dedicated to academic study of Our Lady. Marian degrees in all her dogmas w an emphasis on speculative theology. Catholics have adequately responded to Prots, its time we promulgate teachings about the saints, esp the highly favored one
